NATALIE DOAN OF MISSOURI STAR QUILT COMPANY IS COMING TO PAQA

PAQA and 35th Ave Sew And Vac are co-sponsoring Natalie Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Company, February 5-7, 2026! She will present a trunk show at our Thursday, February 5th monthly meeting. On Friday, February 6th, she will teach two classes for 35th Ave Sew and Vac. On Saturday, February 7th, she will teach two more classes for PAQA. All three events will be held at 35th Ave. Sew and Vac in the Event Center. PAQA members can sign up NOW! Guest registration will open January 5, 2026. Sign up links below:

Cost is deeply discounted price of $99 for PAQA members, $179 for Guests, and includes 2 classes and paper patterns, box lunch, and snacks. BONUS: If a PAQA member signs up for this all day event between November 6 – December 3, they will be entered into a drawing for reimbursement of the registration fee for this all day event.

Join us for this exciting road trip!

Where?  Road to California Quilt Show

When?   January 21-23, 2026

  • Check in at 7:00 am at 35th Ave Sew and Vac (Northern Ave Store, Phoenix), bus departs @ 7:30 am
  • Return around 9:00 pm at 35th Ave Sew and Vac
  • IMPORTANT – Bus will leave at the scheduled time, with or without you, so please allow ample time to get on the bus!
  • Is car parking available while we are gone?

    Please make arrangements to be dropped off and picked up at the 35th Ave parking lot.  We do not have overnight parking privileges from the landlord.  If you do not have someone to drop you off, we suggest Uber or Lyft.  We will have a husband or two meet us upon return as it will be dark.

Pricing:

PAQA Member – double occupancy $375 pp
Guest – double occupancy $400 pp

PAQA Member – single occupancy $505 pp
Guest – single occupancy $530 pp

Information on travel insurance will be provided separately if you want it.

What does it cover?

  • Luxury Coach Transportion
  • Water and snacks will be provided on the bus
  • 2 nights lodging (including taxes and fees) at Delta Hotels by Marriott at the Airport (across from the Convention Center).  One person from each room will need to give a credit card hold ($150) for incidentals/damages.
  • 3 day show admission ticket
  • A trip to M & L Fabrics in Anaheim on the way home

What doesn’t it cover?

  • Lunch, dinner and, of course, SHOPPING!
  • Bus driver tip.  An envelope for cash donations will be passed on the bus.
  • Classes and lectures

How to register:

Purchase your  $50 “Deposit” ticket – balance will be due by December 5, 2025 (details on final payment methods are being finalized) or choose to buy your  full-priced ticket.

When does Registration open?

  • PAQA Members – May 15, 2025 7:00 am
  • Guests – September 1, 2025 7:00 am

If after registration opens you see “Bookings Closed” one of the following may be the reason:

  1.  If you are a member, you may not be logged in.
  2. If you are a member and are logged in (after 5/15) the event may be full, scroll down in the event and add yourself to the waiting list.
  3. If you are a guest and you are booking on or after 9/1 and it says bookings closed, scroll down and add yourself to the waiting list.

When does Registration close?

When the bus is full!

Is there a Refund Policy?

If you need to cancel, please let the coordinators know asap.  You may opt to sell your seat.  We will work with you to try to sell your seat, but no guarantee.  In the event you don’t want to sell your seat or you can’t find a buyer, the following refund policy will be used.

  • Cancel by 6/30 – 100% Refund
  • Cancel by 8/31 – 80% Refund
  • Cancel by 10/31 – 50% Refund
  • Cancelling after 11/1 – No Refund

How do I tell PAQA who my roommate will be?

After registration you will receive a link to a registration form gathering some needed info, to include who your roommate will be.  Please coordinate with your roommate.

What if I don’t have a roommate?

There will be an option to check “Find me a Roommate.”

What is the website if I want to sign up for a lecture or class?

We understand that the list will be available in June 2025 and you can sign up in July 2025.
