Project Bag Class taught by Rachel McCarthy
Sunday, May 17th – 10 AM – 3:45 PM – 35th Ave Sew & Vac Classroom, Northern Ave
Cost: Members $20, Guests $30
Fee includes instruction, vinyl and Soft & Stable
Please purchase your pattern, fabric, Pellon SF101 and zipper prior to class. You will want to bring thread to match your fabric if any parts are quilted. You do not need to cut before class.
Learn a quick, adaptable, and addictive bag using the ByAnnie Project Bag pattern. In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to create an easy, versatile bag that’s perfect for storing your Works in Progress (WIPs) or other sewing supplies. Along the way, Rachel will share useful tips and tricks, help you tackle sewing with vinyl, explore ways to customize the pattern to fit your needs, and, of course, enjoy some great company!
In this class, we will be making the large size bag (finishes to 13.5″ x 13.5″). To make this as accessible as possible, included in the class fee is the vinyl and Soft and Stable needed for the large bag. This is a confident beginner project. Once you make one, you will want to make more. They also make great gifts!
